Today is the first day of the rest of your lives [ opening post ]
WHO: EVERYONE. NPCs will be around to actively engage if you so desire.
WHAT: Sleepers wake and begin to figure out just what, exactly, they are supposed to do with themselves. tl;dr: REACTION POST for new characters to get out and mingle.
WHERE: Everywhere. Mostly the living quarters, but really: anywhere you want.
WHEN: The first week, April 1st through April 7th.
WARNINGS: Travis Touchdown (Ryan LeCourt) has quite a mouth on him.
NOTES: This is a serious game, guys. WE’RE SUPER SRS HERE.This may be a lie.
Shimmering blue blanketed the underground city as the light reflected off the sapphires in the ceiling. It cast its eerie glow, almost mimicking the effect of light on water without the sort of freeing peace one might feel with the soft ocean waves. Figuring out how deep down the city was located was near impossible when the air was obviously heated to something approaching comfortable, and nothing seemed to echo too far past the quiet hum of the city.
Workers made their way down the street, every one with a Sleeper in tow. Something that would have been unheard of only a few days ago, now more likely than one would think. They intended to start slow, but considering how many others were still in cryo, this was a laidback pace.

broncobat, such as he was."Get your own bat! This one's mine, you hear?!"
Considering he was near the Cave ceiling, getting his voice to carry was easier than stealing candy from a baby.

Gabriel grinned, waited the appropriate beat, and then added, "Someone like me."
What, stirring up trouble among the higher-ups? Never.

Just as Ryan began trying to right himself on the bat and get a better idea of what the hell, there was the brief whine of a megaphone. Anselmo—the real one, thank you very much—had taken notice of the voice carrying through the Cave much as Ryan and wanted answers. "What the hell are you doing?"
"What," Ryan yelled out, no longer caring who he was directed toward, "you're talking to yourself now?!"
no subject
Hey, he'd been having a sucky year. If he could wrangle some fun out of whatever dimension Dad's thrown him in now, he's not going to pass it up!

Ryan did not seem so deterred by the weird turn of events. "I always knew you were going to crack!"
Unlike certain people on the rooftop or on a giant bat, Delilah had noticed that whoever was talking to Ryan was definitely not Thomas, so not long after the deceit has started, she left the rooftop to find out who was behind it. It didn't take long to find out and soon she was standing in front of Gabriel, looking more like an annoyed child than the guard force member that she was.
"It's very rude of you to mimic his voice like that," she said bluntly, squeezing the doll she kept on her at all times. "You'd get in trouble if Thomas found out it was you doing it. It's not very smart for you to get in trouble three days after waking up."
no subject
Abruptly he pushed himself upright, swinging his legs so he was straddling the outcrop and leaning forward on his hands, one finger half-raising in a gesture of silence or censure. "C'mon, you can't tell me it's not funny."
no subject
Her eyes narrow at what Gabriel says and it's very obvious that she doesn't find this funny at all. "It's not. Maybe you should try doing something else that's actually funny instead of trying to get into trouble three days in. Unless you're stupid enough to think you'd actually be able to get away with this."
no subject
"Although I'd be very curious to hear what suggestions you might have. He seemed so boring on the network; all rules and no fun. I just couldn't resist."
